I undertake valuations with 35 years of real marketplace 'hands-on' experience, and an ability to discern that only comes with accumulated and diversified knowledge - well beyond that conferred by a undergraduate degree (which I also have).

This is an unregulated industry (anybody can do it), so long as they are considered to possess some level of capability. 

I probably have the widest valuation scope in terms of category specialisations of any practising valuer in Australia - with proven capability in Asian Paintings & Antiques (all categories), Australian & International Art, Australian & International Antiques & 20th Century Decorative Arts, and Oceanic Tribal Art.

I value single items or collections for Individuals, Government, Businesses and Heritage Organisations.

I value for the purposes of Insurance, Family Law, Estate Division and Probate, Financial Reporting, Superannuation, and Sale.

I have sound understanding of the methodology, ethics, and current compliance standards applicable to each situation. Valuations are always tailored to suit the requirements of the job-at-hand. In legal situations my reports have always been accepted by the court, and in contested situations I am yet to have the other side's report favoured over mine.
